TAOlife Newsletter / December 2015 / TAO Inspired Living

Dear Brokers,

What a wonderful season December is in Mexico: Piñatas, Pastorelas, Posadas…

We have just finished the Día de Muertos festivities, and now the markets and shopping centers where are completely transformed.

A few weeks ago it was filled with cempasuchitl flowers, sugar skulls, papel picado and pan de muerto or Day of the Dead bread, and now it is getting ready for the Christmas season.

Everywhere I turn there are piñatas of all forms, sizes and colors, as well as candles for the posadas, nochebuena flowers, better known as poinsettias, and figurines made of wood, ceramic or paste for the nativity scene.

Stores and street vendors are also selling all kinds of beautiful ornaments that merrily announce the proximity of one of the happiest periods of the year

Here at TAO we have a fun filled month, with yoga classes, tennis classes, outings, visit to the world famous Bacalar and of course our Christmas and New Year’s Eve Parties. We are also very fortunate to have the HeartMath and Global Coherence Initiative Event at the TAO Wellness Center. Prepare yourself to embark on a unique journey and learning experience. The Collective Coherence: Co-Creating a New World event is from Dec. 2-6 at the TAO Wellness Center, a fantastic and uplifting venue in the Riviera Maya on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Please see here for more details and booking info →HeartMath and Global Coherence Initiative Event

Christmas time makes us grateful for our work with you throughout the past year we wish you great happiness in a spirit of health and hope.

Posadas

Singing processions fill the streets with candles, reenacting Joseph and the Virgin Mary’s journey through Bethlehem in search of shelter. Residents sometimes play the roles of innkeepers and in many places the processions are beautifully detailed with angels and children carrying poinsettias.
