First off, I’d like to wish you Happy Holidays, wherever in the world you might be…

We’re right in the middle of peak season here on the Riviera Maya, so it’s super busy.

And, we are also getting past the half way stage of the due diligence period for your purchase at Tao Tulum. We have been receiving contracts from buyers and helping them to finalize their purchase.

At this stage nearly all of our RETA buyers have spoken to their attorney and signed their contracts. In fact, most did this pretty much straight away. However, if you still haven’t spoken to an attorney just let me know and I can recommend an attorney in this area. I can also help answer any questions that you may have.



As a buyer, you will be excited to know that this time of year (roughly from the 15th of November to the end of Easter) is what I call our “really high” season. This is when tourism numbers and occupancy rates in the hotels and rental condos in Tulum increase like crazy. A lot of places report between 90% to 100% occupancy at this time!

You can see it’s high season when you go to the beach or to Tulum town. The restaurants and cafes are even busier than usual and there are a lot more people out and about. It’s a great time for local businesses. And it’s also a great time for property owners here because they can rent their properties out at high season rates.

But the really good news for you is that in Tulum (and the Riviera Maya) low season is getting shorter and shorter each year.

And it seems that this really high season is getting even longer than it was previously. I think that this is down to the fact that Tulum is getting more popular, more and more people are learning what an awesome destination it is, and they’re coming to visit in greater numbers each year.



From an investor’s point of view this is great. You can enjoy higher occupancy rates for longer periods of time.

Not only is it a great place to invest because it’s a growing growing tourism market but also a great place to stay if you need a place to use for personal use for a period of time each year.

And from an owner’s point of view, if you want to use your Tao Tulum condo personally you can come when it’s a little bit quieter… then you can enjoy the best of both worlds!
