Dear Mr.

These last two weeks I have been really enjoying TAO. Talking with several owners or residents, as Jane Corbett, José and Nancy Galarza, Steve García, Mike and Chris Wimsatt, Ramiro and Adriana Botello, Darren and Will, among others. Having huevos ranchereros for breakfast prepared by our chef, Herlindo in the new Bistro at the TAO Wellness Center, taking yoga classes with Adriana and Verónica, meditating with Enrique, practicing Howard’s breathing techniques from Heartmath, practicing Core Energetics with Stuart Black, swimming in the pool in the TAO Wellness Center and watching the sky from the couch in the townhome where I’m staying. All this in our community!!!

I have reflected on all that has happened in the last four years, in the great challenges we have faced, in my clients and friends, my team, where we started and where we are now.

I am very proud of our community, of our place, you as residents, of my team, which I see as we all strive to make things better every day.

TAO started with a dream of mine to be able to build a special community, where the connection with ourselves, with our neighbors and the place in which we live is significant – a place that we can create a real and genuine sense of belonging.

I truly believe that the greatest crisis that we live as people is the loss of our sense of belonging. Is not very clear where we belong, it seems that much of our sense of belonging is lost in material things, on all the information we receive in our highly consumerist societies and the lives of celebrities.

In recent years much of my energy has gone on to express with my team a lot of what we have achieved. Today we have delivered nearly 250 homes and condos. We have sold about 85% of the development and have had over 5,000 events in the TAO Wellness Center, in the Community and in the TAO Foundation. An event can be a dance class, tennis class, yoga or a visit to Yaxché with the Foundation.

TAO is the only development in Mexico that has this variety of events and activities. This not only gives value to the residents who live full time at TAO, but also those who come as seasonal renters. The people who rent in TAO returns to enjoy the activities offered.

In 2016 I want to work hard with you in order to enrich, clarify and define my vision or our vision of the TAO Community. It is a subject that really interests and passions me, is where I really believe that we can create a different, special and unique community. But it’s something I cannot do this alone; I need your help and participation. I have talked with some residents about this motivation and have seen a lot of resonance and enthusiasm to participate and carry it out, which motivates me a lot. Next year we will shape this effort.

I appreciate your support from day one when you believed in us. I ask for your confidence to approach us with any concerns you may have. From all my team you have our honesty and integrity to keep making an effort to better communication between us every day. This has been a challenge but we are gradually improving.

As in any community or group there are always different interpretations or understandings on specific situations. The best way to clarify these issues is through effective communication and dialogue that is honest and clear. I am sure that with this attitude, we can solve any problem in the best way by joining the community and not by separating it.

I am aware of several issues within the community where there are different interpretations. I would like to meet with you all to talk about these issues. At the meeting we can talk about anything there. I am aware that there are several concerns about the reverse osmosis and the Beach Club at Bahia Principe that was initially promised, maintenance fees, some repairs, Townhomes parking areas, deeds, the TAO beach Club in Akumal, TAO Retreat, etc.

I sincerely believe that these issues are due the lack of communication which causes general confusion. I can honestly say that all of these issues are not dishonest, illegal or in bad faith, in fact on the contrary, our main goal has always been to increase the value of our community.

I have asked Isaac Henares, our COO to send a statement delving into these issues and opening a way in which we can address these issues and others that may arise in the future.

I wish that in these holidays we can open up our hearts and realize how fortunate we are. I wish that everyone can see everything positive that life has to offer, I wish you good health, happiness and prosperity.
